Organic gardening is an important aspect of a green community so, naturally, Amsterdam Village will have an organic farm. Owned by everyone - through the Property Owners Association (POA) - the farm is operated by an organic farmer.

In addition, three communal gardens will provide residents the opportunity to grow their own heirloom tomatoes or prized cucumbers.

A farmers' market will also be part of the community. Locally grown organic products from the Village's organic farms, community gardeners, and area farmers will be for sale during the growing season .
